he went a full calendar year without a goal... he got a "dream" move to madrid and failed and retired before long. 

His career was inconsistent at best. He wasn't anywhere near Bale. yet alone Ronaldo and Messi. 

And is no way near Salah for output and consistency. 

He was easy on the eye with the ball. Like Zaha and Okocha.
