🚨 Syria (Suwayda Ceasefire Update)

1/
Ceasefire in southern Syria - brokered with goodwill by, Jordan, Turkey, the Gulf, and guaranteed by the U.S. and approved by both Syria and Israel - appears to have collapsed.

2/
The aim? To end fighting between the tribal mobilization forces and the militias of Druze warlord Hikmat al-Hijri.

3/
Reality? Al-Hijri has refused to implement even the first step: allowing Syrian security forces into Suwayda.

4/
His forces continue attacking, and naturally, the tribal forces responded. The cycle resumes.

5/
Time for Israel to consider this: backing this erratic, unstable, bitter man over the far more reasonable Druze leaders was a mistake. He’s an utter liability.
