most misinformation and fake news is easily debunkable 

if people would take just 2-3 minutes to fact check and source check, they would immediately find out whether or not something is backed by facts, an opinion, or just BOGUS 

problem is we fried our brains on social media

and we can't be bothered to check for ourselves. we'd rather be told what to believe and not form our own opinions based on facts.
