Without his efforts, no ceasefire would have happened. Hikmat Salman al Hijri is not merely the spiritual guide of the Druze.He is their shield, their shepherd, the voice that echoed through fire and smoke. The Islamist jihadist leaders slander him, claiming he seeks division. Liars. His every word cries for Syria’s unity, one nation, whole and free. But it is they, the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists, the Islamist butchers, who brought genocide, who marched with the intent to erase, to burn, to holocaust the Druze. Yet this man, this mountain of a soul, stood unbroken. He did not beg. He did not kneel. He led his people through the darkness, and they did not vanish..

Yes, Druze leader Hikmat al Hijri compelled Syria’s President Ahmad al Sharaa to call for an immediate ceasefire between the Druze and the Syrian tribes. Even the Syrian Bedouins stand in reverence, for his word held the nation when the earth trembled. Without him, the #Druze would be a memory carved in stone, not a people standing with pride.
