Comments open on Monday. We want CONNOR'S LAW in this Surface Transportation Authorization renewal legislation!

As we have stated to Sen. Ted Cruz Commerce Chairman, Sen. Roger Marshall, and Rep. Dave Taylor via email, SBTC believes they should combine Rep Taylor's HR 3608 (formally, "CONNOR'S LAW" at our and the Dzion family's request), which mandates CDL licenses operators of CMVs be placed out-of-service if they are found not qualified to drive under XX CFR XXXXXX because they are not proficient in English, and Sen. Marshall's S. 2114, which would mandate the states to test for English language proficiency during CDL written knowledge testing.

Please file your comments starting Monday asking for this to be part of the Surface Transportation Authorization renewal legislation.

SBTC file file a comment on behalf of its membership but Congress needs to hear from all of us.
