If your target is a dollar, they'll chase new rugs because the perceived risk:reward could be higher in a rug. After all, your coin is far closer to a dollar than their new rug bets are. And if your publicly stated target is a dollar, then you can be expected to "rug" your position at a dollar anyway. Calling for an unreasonably high target costs you nothing. You can do it for free and it - makes the people who hold your coin happy - makes the people don't hold your coin afraid to not hold your coin.
