succinct’s SP1 Hypercube is their zkVM built for real-time proving.
in testing, it proved XX% of 10k ethereum mainnet blocks in less than 10.3s on a 200x RTX 4090 cluster

they’re close
and more importantly, they estimate a fully-optimized rig could meet the $100k target

hypercube isn’t just faster, it’s smarter
it uses multilinear polynomials (not the simpler stuff others use)
for example look at it like packing a suitcase with boxes instead of balls,  tighter, neater, more efficient

they also dropped a new system called the Jagged Polynomial Commitment Scheme
it skips unnecessary data and speeds up proof generation even more
