Its pretty wild when you think about where Bitcoin infrastructure is heading. What caught my attention is how they're approaching the custody problem. They're using Atomic Swaps with Taproot to let you swap BTC cross-chain without wrapping it or trusting some middleman. The HTLC stuff ensures everything executes properly without counterparty risk. We finally, a way to get Bitcoin into DeFi without the usual compromises. The numbers are interesting too - $43.5M total raise at a $530M valuation. They're allocating XXX% to early supporters, and word is the token launch might happen soon. I've been watching this space for a while and it feels like things are starting to click. What I like about Portal is they're not just building another bridge or wrapper. They're trying to create an actual ecosystem where Bitcoin can move freely between chains while staying... well, Bitcoin. That's the kind of infrastructure play that could actually matter long-term.
