i think it would be interesting to trace the FBI and Hoover's internal memos about this as the request flowed from LBJ to Fortas to DeLoach to Hoover. I know there are definitely a lot of files mentioning Fortas, he was strangely involved in a lot of stuff. I expected SCOTUS Judges to be isolated, reserved and austere, not in the political mosh pit
