Boomers used to tell me all the time bananas are “best” mushy and covered in brown spots. I always assumed this was because of slower delivery logistics in their childhood back in the day, so that’s just what they grew up with, and thus their subjective preference. But no, this is the common retort from basically all age groups - meanwhile any truly conscious being knows a banana in range 4-6 is ideal, while X is tolerable vs no banana it’s simply not possible to somehow think it’s “the best” unless you’re programmed to think and say so.
