I do believe that Kyler Phillips is one of the more underrated fighters in the XXX division as far as skills go, I just don’t like the way he handles pressure. He was a -XXX favorite or something like that against Rob Font. He won the first round and then proceeded to lose the next two because Font turned up the heat and he couldn’t keep up. Well now he fights a guy that looks to have better takedown defense than Font and fights with absolutely zero regard for his opponents. Yeah Oliveira is wild at times and when you are wild and careless it certainly leaves openings to be put out (which has happened to him before), however until that moment, it is hell to deal with and as I said… I don’t really love Kyler Phillips vs. Pressure. I must admit that I do have a recurring image in my head of Phillips catching Oliveira with a high kick as he ducks to the side with his hands low but I’m taking Vinicius Oliveira in this one. In the first round he may have a bit of a hard time tracking Phillips down but I think he starts to get to him in the second and certainly the third.
