The new price cap of $47.6/bbl ends this lucrative trade and/or pushes more tankers into the shadow fleet. Net impact: higher energy prices for EU residents, lower oil import costs for China and India. Taking it a step further, the EU has now sanctioned a refinery in India because it is part owned by Rosneft. How will India respond?
