The Shiden-Kai was an advanced fighter that had success against U.S. Navy Corsairs and Hellcats late in the war. Of the XXX built, only four exist today. The one in Japan was recovered from the Bungo Channel in 1979 and restored. The funds raised will be used to build a new facility for the aircraft.
