As the yearlong celebration of our nation's 250th birthday gets underway, let's take a few moments to remember the thousands of brave Americans who built our nation's structures... 🇺🇸 🎂

Here's a salute to those hardworking men who risked their lives to build the 102-story Empire State building in 1930 and 1931.  These men worked with minimal harnesses (sometimes without any) to move girders; rivet and paint parts; and perform all necessary construction work. The New York Times wrote that these workers “put on the best open-air show in town."

These individuals were America's daredevils, angels, darlings, and bravest souls rolled into one.  We owe them a debt of gratitude!  Please join me in a moment of silent prayer to thank these true American patriots... 🇺🇸
