There aren’t exact public figures for the number of South Asians in Zagreb, but Croatia as a whole has seen a sharp rise in migrant workers from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines recently, with over XXXXXX Asian workers arriving nationwide just last year and many settling in Zagreb since it’s the main migration hub. 

Most estimates and local reports suggest that the South Asian community in Zagreb, while still a small fraction of the city’s nearly XXXXXXX residents, is much more visible than just a few years ago, especially in service industries and construction.
