Brazil is playing a dangerous game of chicken, with leaders hitting the gas hard to tank the country just to hold onto power, cooking up a foreign enemy to juice their 2026 reelection chances. 

Meanwhile, the U.S. aims to make Brazil a global cautionary tale, as no one dumps XX% of their dollar reserves in five years and pushes the BRICS anti-dollar agenda thinking they’ll escape retaliation.
