They helped him end well. While there’s nothing wrong with that, per se, not setting yourselves up for 2025 by leaning into directions asked for by your remaining driver is a bit absurd. I genuinely think there’s a repeating cycle at Ferrari with Leclerc. Like there’s a view that his technical feedback isn’t good enough for them to follow… then over and over, he’s the one to help steer them out of some debacle or mess with the car, and all of a sudden they’re competitive again. It’s a mind numbing cycle. When they have definitively listened to his preferences, we’ve gotten more and more competitive. When they’ve gone centrist or towards Carlos, they’ve converged together more and we’ve gotten worse relative to the field or front runners. It’s an odd thing they kept repeating. While there’s nothing wrong with that, per se, not setting yourselves up for 2025 by leaning into directions asked for by your remaining driver is a bit absurd.
I genuinely think there’s a repeating cycle at Ferrari with Leclerc. Like there’s a view that his technical feedback isn’t good enough for them to follow… then over and over, he’s the one to help steer them out of some debacle or mess with the car, and all of a sudden they’re competitive again.
