My grandfather wasn’t just a man in our family, he was the backbone. The protector. The kind of man who worked hard, loved deeply, and gave everything for the people he cared about. His murder wasn’t just a tragedy. It was a theft. A violent, senseless act that ripped our world apart and it never should’ve happened.

He was taken from us by someone who should never have been in this country. An illegal immigrant who crossed our border and brought pain and destruction with him. My grandfather never got a second chance. But the man who did this still gets meals, shelter, and legal rights—all paid for by our tax dollars. That is the cruelest injustice of all.
