ABSOLUTELY FALSE. That's NOT what the CIA was asking the FBI's CID to do. What Brennan's CIA was asking the FBI's counter-intelligence people to do was to START A COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE INVESTIGATION in order to PLUG THE GODDAMN LEAK inside the Clinton campaign that resulted in the Russians being ALERTED to the dirty trick plan and it's launch. THAT'S what counter-intelligence people do for a living. It would be of GREAT INTEREST to both the CIA and the FBI to discover who was leaking Clinton campaign details/strategy where the RUSSIANS were seeing it.
