It was him who overlooked the plan to use Laith Labbous to take over Suweida - it was him to pitched that deal to Israel. It was him who went against US Secretary of State (Marco Rubio) policy and declared that everything has to be centralised in Syria under Damascus & Jolani - Today’s State Department briefing explicitly stated that the USA is not opposed to a federalistic/decentralised Syria. Tom Barrack thought he can get the job done in the same manner as he did his shady business deals: signalling and pressuring. It didn’t work out - Syria is not some blue collar office space. It’s arguably the most complicated region in the world right now.
