Progress So Far: Bought the APU spot ticker on Hyperliquid. Testnet version of the token is live. LayerZero adapter contracts and test tokens were deployed on Ethereum testnet and Hyperliquid testnet. Working with LayerZero team to ensure correct setup. Next Steps: Deploy Adapter Bridge: This allows the APU token to move between Ethereum and Hyperliquid. This part is now mostly done and being tested. Configure Hyperliquid Spot Settings: APU has a very large supply, so special care is needed. Currently testing spot deployment on testnet. Confirmed that not all XXX billion tokens from Ethereum will ever need to be bridged—only about XX billion max in a worst-case scenario. Potential Supply Cap Issue: Hyperliquid Core has a limit on how much can be bridged. If too much is sent, some tokens could get stuck or burned. Team debated adding a technical safety limit, but ultimately decided the risk of going over the cap is very low. Plan is to proceed without implementing strict limits for now. Need for Market Maker: For Hyperliquid to have real trading activity (buy/sell orders), a market maker will be needed eventually. Not needed immediately, but will be essential for launch. Technical Testing: Some delays seen on testnet due to limited RPC (network access), but test messages were confirmed to be delivered. Wiring between Ethereum and Hyperliquid is complete and functioning. Conclusion: The team is proceeding with the adapter setup and testnet deployment. A final go-ahead for the supply cap risk is expected soon. Once complete, attention will turn to linking the token to Hyperliquid Core and preparing for a market maker.
