RE: SAVE XX AMERICAN ALLIES FROM BEING MURDERED BY TALIBAN TERRORIST REGIME

I am writing to alert you to an urgent matter concerning a U.S. ally, the UAE, & Taliban terrorists who have targeted a small group of Afghan-US allies who made it to the safety of a refugee camp in Abu Dabi after the disastrous American withdrawal under the Biden administration & are now being delivered right into the hands of their terrorist enemies.

Some XX Afghans families who worked closely with the U.S., have been given hours to decide if they will ‘self-deport” and threatened with violent removal if they refuse. These families were ordered to surrender their passports on Wednesday, July 16th. The following day they were ordered to assemble in a hall where the head of the refugee camp arrived, bringing with him the Taliban “Ambassador” to the UAE and numerous other Taliban members.

The Afghans were told things would be “easier” for them in Kabul if they chose to “self-deport” but no one could “protect” them if someone else made a complaint against them - which is code for “you will be murdered”. Just ask the families of some XXX Afghan Special Operators/soldiers who were hunted down & killed following a data leak in the UK as reported now in the Daily Telegraph.

The U.S. made a promise to those Afghans who answered our call & stood by us when this nation needed it the most. That promise has not been kept and we are a nation that keeps our word.

These Afghan families are effectively prisoners who have had no rights and no freedom of movement outside of the camp for the past four years. At least one person committed suicide and there have been more suicides in other camps. Another women and her husband who lost hope tried going home and were followed from the airport in Kabul and shot on arrival. They survived with severe injuries (miraculously) and fled to Iran but their relatives are among those now threatened with forced removal.

Unlike some of those who made it to the U.S. fraudulently/under false pretenses, these people are genuine
American allies who have followed the legal process. In spite of what some will now claim to create a false narrative, they did not refuse any offers of safety in other countries and after waiting patiently year after year to be processed by the U.S. State Dept under the Biden Administration they are now being punished for their patience.

While the Taliban who visited them made a fake promise of “amnesty”, the entire world saw before what amnesty from this terrorist regime meant as they hunted down American allies and murdered them one after another. To this day, my digital files are filled with the bodies of Afghan commandos, soldiers, police, female activists/teachers/doctors/nurses and so on who were all promised the same fake “amnesty” and
instead were raped, tortured, imprisoned & murdered often along with their families. I am not alone - there are many of us with photos/evidence of this.

These XX Afghans have now been given until Saturday to decide if they will submit or be forced. This is a death sentence for people who passed the security screening and were medically cleared to come to the US almost two years ago. They need urgent assistance from the U.S. to intervene, stop the deportations and fly them to safety in the U.S. or an allied country where they will be beyond the reach of the terrorist regime in Kabul & their allies.

On behalf of the many people from all sides of the political spectrum who have worked so hard to save our Afghan allies we are begging for help. There are some other groups, including Afghan women who served in Special operations, who have been abandoned in another camp. Please do not turn your back on these brave people. If we let them be murdered we will never have a real friend again anywhere. And it will be our own fault.

Yours sincerely,

Lara Logan
