This is a stall tactic. Covered puts buy time...short sellers can keep shares lent, keep the borrow active, and continue the illusion of supply.

But if $GME breaks key resistance zones or demand surges again, these synthetic setups can unravel violently, especially with these massive deep ITM positions looming.
