Not just about markets or business or tech but about the world in general. Every time I go digging for stories, I end up teaching myself something new and sometimes, I come across things that stop me cold like this story, when I found out babies have been born with DNA from three different people. Yeah. That’s a real thing. It’s called mitochondrial donation. Basically, scientists can now prevent serious inherited diseases by using a third person’s healthy mitochondria during IVF. So the baby gets DNA from mom, dad… and a tiny bit from a donor (just 0.1%, but it makes a huge difference). Eight babies have already been born this way in the UK, and they’re all healthy. Ten years ago, that would’ve sounded like sci-fi. Now it’s just another Tuesday headline. I used to think writing a newsletter was just about sharing info with others but it’s honestly taught me so much about how fast the world is changing and if you’ve been reading along with me, maybe it’s been doing the same for you.
