Well Jordan Spieth had one of the most epic years in 2015 where not only won X majors, was like X strokes off the playoff at St Andrews and also was 2nd in an epic battle with Jason Day at the PGA

also he won the fed ex cup and a few other tournaments 

Also Jason Day had a career year with X wins as well and took some from Spieth 

Ultimately that level lasted until his epic meltdown at the 2016 masters and he hasn’t been remotely the same since then
