That, however, is not the same as what Patriarch Theophilos is doing here. He is standing up for the survival of his flock. He can & should ally with whomever he can for that purpose, especially others suffering for their profession of Christ, even if not Orthodox. That has literally NOTHING to do with sacramental union or doctrinal compromise as Leo & Bartholomew are working towards.
