Releasing $1.3B for after-school programs is a start, but the real issue is the $5B still frozen over legitimate concerns of misuse. The administration’s review already exposed NY schools diverting English language funds to illegal immigration advocacy and Washington state hijacking scholarships meant for American students.

If Congress wants to protect taxpayer dollars, they’d demand audits on every grant—not just rubber-stamp appropriations. Local control matters, but so does stopping bureaucrats from laundering federal cash into radical pet projects.

Release the rest? Only after stripping every dime from programs pushing “queer resistance” seminars instead of math tutoring.
