Love the move: $UBER is stitching together regional AV suppliers, Waymo in the U.S., $BIDU Apollo in Asia/ME to stay asset-light and diversify tech risk.

Key things to track from here:
1) Reg approvals & geo fenced ODDs, cities must green light curbside pickup before scale.
2) Unit economics, robotaxi fleets need >40 % utilization and sub-$1 / mi all in cost to beat traditional drivers.
3) Take rate headroom, every basis point that stays with Uber drops almost dollar for dollar to margin.

If Apollo Go’s Beijing pilot proves cash flow positive and subsidies fade, $UBER’s “platform, not OEM” strategy could get a real rerate.
