Now that Deborah Lyons has retired from the post of Canada's special envoy on preserving Holocaust remembrance and combatting antisemitism, it’s time to scrap this position, and the position of Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia of Canada — for good. 

Only one of these positions has acted in good faith, while the other has deliberately worked to intensify tension between Jews and Muslims — relentlessly vilifying the only Jewish state in the world. 

Because of this, what should have been a natural and mutually beneficial relationship built on trust, respect, and a shared interest in peace building and reconciliation was fundamentally compromised from the get-go. 

Subsequently, both positions should be permanently dissolved immediately.
