Proud to announce that the State of Florida and the U.S. Department of the Army have reached a new agreement to accelerate the restoration of America’s Everglades. We’re working together to expedite the completion of the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Reservoir project, years ahead of schedule.
 
Florida will complete work on behalf of the Army Corps utilizing federal funds, and the Corps will accelerate their investment in the EAA Reservoir project. This agreement will ensure that clean freshwater will increase in flow south from Lake Okeechobee to Florida Bay—just as nature intended. We’re thankful to President Trump, Army Secretary Driscoll, and his team for working with our administration to land this agreement.
