How Cysic Network Reduces ZK-Rollup Costs with Proof Aggregation

Ethereum Layer 2s (L2s) using ZK-rollups face a critical problem: high proof verification costs. Every ZK-proof must be verified on Ethereum, and gas fees add up fast, especially during network congestion.

@cysic_xyz offers a solution: "Proof Aggregation".

Instead of submitting each proof individually, Cysic Network bundles multiple proofs into one, drastically cutting Ethereum settlement costs. Here’s how it works:

The Problem: ZK-Rollups Are Still Expensive
Single-proof verification on Ethereum can cost $5–$50+ depending on gas prices. Rollups like zkSync, StarkNet, and Scroll batch transactions but still need frequent on-chain proof submissions.

More users = more proofs = higher costs, which get passed on to L2 users.

Cysic’s Solution: Proof Aggregation
Instead of sending every proof to Ethereum immediately, Cysic:
X. Generates proofs off-chain (cheap and fast).
X. Aggregates multiple proofs into a single proof (saving ~80%+ in gas).
X. Submits the final proof to Ethereum in one go.

Why This Matters for Ethereum L2s

- Lower fees for users
- Faster finality
- Scalability

Potential Concerns
Slight delay: Aggregation requires waiting for multiple proofs before submission.
Trust assumptions: Relies on Cysic’s decentralized prover network (but fraud proofs can help).

My Take: A Game Changer for ZK-Rollups
@cysic_xyz's approach isn’t just a small optimization. It’s a necessary evolution for ZK-rollups to stay competitive against Optimistic rollups (like Arbitrum and OP Mainnet).

Optimistic rollups are cheaper today because they don’t need frequent on-chain proofs. But with Cysic’s aggregation, ZK-rollups could match or even undercut Optimistic rollup costs, while keeping their security advantages.

Bottom line: If @cysic_xyz delivers, Ethereum L2s will have a cheaper, faster future, without sacrificing security.
