The Anglos have some regret at their ancestors part in toppling the Roman Empire… 

Once it was gone, people went back to living in mud huts and being primitive and it suddenly dawned on everyone what a monumental fuck up it was… so they tried to rebuild it (at some point they made this goofy fake version called the ‘Holly Roman Empire’ which was just Germans cos playing Romans trying to cargo cult the achievements of Rome and failing badly in goofy ways
