@JamesMelville This is a loop hole for taxes.  Buy a painting from the "next big thing" for $100k and get an insurance evaluation from a "friend-ly" company for $50mil. Then donate it to a museum and write the $50mil off on taxes.  

The fact someone bought this is probably money laundering.
