The Taoiseach again today wrongly portrayed the PIGS Bill as relevant to the dreadful ongoing Israel/Gaza war. The Bills primary objective is to prohibit the importation of Jewish goods originated on the West Bank, in East Jerusalem & in Gaza. It also impacts goods so originated by others but this is not understood by government, 
No Jewish person has resided in Gaza since 2005. No Jewish goods have been originated, manufactured or grown in Gaza for XX years. No such goods are imported into Ireland. No such goods exist. The Bill has no relevance to Hamas’s dedication to continuing the war, to Israeli/Palestinian conflict resolution, to the release of hostages or to the achievement of a permanent peace. The Taoiseach’s narrative is totally bogus . Craggy Island politics worthy of Father Ted with a large dollop of the emperor who has no clothes.
