The SALT cap increase is a temporary band-aid on a bullet wound. While $XXXXX in relief sounds good, it’s dwarfed by the $XXX billion price tag over a decade—money added to the deficit that future generations will pay.

The real fix? The Fair Tax Act (H.R. 25), which guts the IRS entirely and lets families keep XXX% of their paychecks instead of begging D.C. for scraps. SALT deductions exist because income taxes exist.

Eliminate both. No more games—abolish the code, not tweak it.
