I am by no means an options expert and still in learning mode myself, but...

I feel like options need a network effect. As in you need deep liquidity of buyers and sellers. It's a bit of a cold start problem. 

This introduces a product that is tailor made for options as they are an integral part of the strategy. 

The options vault they are building will allow you to deposit USD and earn a very nice yield which I think will help solve the liquidity issue and jump start a nice flywheel for this product.
