The incident happened at Biscailuz Center Academy Training at approximately 7.25am local time (12.30pm UK), the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed. Three bomb squad officers were killed in the incident, local media reported. The LAPD said they were not able to confirm any deaths or injuries. The cause of the blast is under investigation. The Los Angeles Times reported that a bomb squad was moving some explosives when the blast occurred. Pam Bondi, Donald Trump’s attorney general, confirmed she had spoken to Bill Essayli, the US attorney for the Central District of California, about “what appears to be a horrific incident that killed at least three at a law enforcement training facility in Los Angeles.” Ms Bondi said that federal agents were at the scene. The office of Gavin Newsom, California’s Governor, said he had been briefed on “the reported explosion” and was “closely monitoring the situation.” Story by US Staff.
