After three years of war, the Czech Republic is no longer allowed to buy Russian oil.

As part of the 18th sanctions package, the European Union has revoked the Czech Republic's permission to buy fuel from Putin. Previously, the Czech Republic had sourced Russian raw materials through the Druzhba pipeline – last year alone, XX% of Czech oil imports (2.7 million tons) came from Russia. In total, the Czech Republic – despite being one of Ukraine's most important allies – has spent more than €7 billion on Russian gas and oil since the start of the all-out war, while only €1.2 billion has been spent on supporting the Ukrainians.
