Donald Trump ordered the United States to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO). This occurred on January 20, 2025, when he signed an executive order initiating the process to leave the organization, only hours after beginning his second term as President.
BUT - the WHO withdrawal has a legal (international) timeline and we would still have been obligated to follow these IHRs, unless we formally rejected them before a specific deadline. Which has now happened
