Hindus are XX% of the population but: 1) We don’t get rights under Articles XX & XX to run educational institutions without government interference, unlike minorities. 2) Hindu temples are state-controlled in many states… their revenue is taken, unlike churches and mosques. 3) Hindu festivals face constant restrictions in the name of environment or noise, while others are exempted. 4) In several districts across India (like parts of Kerala, Assam, Bengal, Kashmir), Hindus are already a local minority and in those regions, their voices are drowned. 5) Religious appeasement in politics often means Hindu concerns are dismissed as “majoritarianism.” So yes… in terms of legal rights, institutional autonomy, and political voice, We are treated like second-class citizens in our own land. 👉 Being a numerical majority doesn’t protect your interests, when the law, media, and politics are skewed against you. Hindus are the real minority in this country.
