Soroka throws a lot of Slurve pitches which is not something the Padres see frequently and gives him an edge in this matchup.

Diving deeper we can evaluate the Slurve as part of the Slider group which the Padres rank 6th worst in xBA against since June 1st

Additionally, Soroka is under this line in 10/13 games this season and 4/5 at home.

On top of all of this, there is weather concerns in this game, so we get the potential of an early pull with that looming along with a fresh bullpen should the Nationals need it here
