The Real Cost of Privacy in AI: Why Hana Matters

I used to treat inference like a black box. Send a prompt, get an answer. But I never really stopped to ask what happens in between. Who’s storing the input? Can they reuse it? What if it trains the next model without my consent?

In AI today, inference is surveillance by design. Most LLM APIs log every prompt. Sometimes they use it to improve models. Sometimes they just sell it. Either way, your data , your intent, becomes someone else’s leverage.

That’s why @HanaNetwork hit me hard.

For the first time, I’m seeing what zero-knowledge inference looks like in practice. You don’t just query a model. You wrap your query in cryptographic privacy. You get the result, but the model never sees your input. Nobody does.

This flips the power dynamic. I’m not just consuming AI anymore. I’m doing it on my own terms with real data control, not legal fine print.

We talk a lot about user-owned infra in crypto. Hana is what that looks like for AI.
