They spent X hours visually analyzing printout after printout. A the end of the day I asked them what they did all day. The answer was mind boggling and suffice it to say that I replied that their work could have been done with SQL in less than XX minutes. I asked them politely to take a hike and never approved payment of the bill. If they look lost and stupid, they are lost and stupid. You're welcome!
