Despite this, Brown expressed a preference for Verstappen to remain with Red Bull, emphasizing the Dutchman's pivotal role in the team's success. Speaking to media, Brown remarked:

“I think Mercedes is a team on the rise. Red Bull at the moment has challenges; it doesn't mean that they can't fix those challenges.”
