Saw the “missing balance” panic earlier
It’s just a display bug on Ledger Live. 
Polkadot’s new staking model moved from locks to holds. 
The funds are safe and fully intact I presume. 
Check Subscan or use Talisman if you want full clarity Props to Polkadot for pushing forward even when UX has to catch up. 
Ecosystem upgrades always come with little friction at first. What matters is the chain keeps improving.
