A few things probably worth just pointing out, re "the letter." 

Q. Would Trump ever just concoct a fictionalized conversation as part of a presentation?

A. He tells "sir" stories involving him all the time.

Q. Would Trump ever draw a doodle?

A. Yes. There are a number of examples.

Q. Is this reckless journalism?

A. There is no way the WSJ didn't lawyer the hell out of this piece before publishing it. 

none of this is an attempt to divine how this plays out politically.
