I feel the two are well balanced in terms of security, if an issuer wants better security for their OFT token, all they have to do is customise their DVNs.... but Axelar ensures security is always tight no matter the usecase. Another angle is complex logic execution, ITS beats OFT in this aspect, you can execute complex cross-chain interactions with a single transaction ( courtesy of the Axelar GMP) OFT also supports this but requires additional developer effort. (Might complicate the Developer experience) So I will say Lz is best for lightweight cross-chain deployment but Axelar is superior when it comes to executing complex logic. I feel the two are well balanced in terms of security, if an issuer wants better security for their OFT token, all they have to do is customise their DVNs.... but Axelar ensures security is always tight no matter the usecase.
