Launched the WAVES Outcome Report and inaugurated the IICT-NFDC Campus along with Hon Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji, a defining moment for Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the next generation of India's creative minds. Heartfelt gratitude to Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji for his visionary leadership that has firmly placed India’s creative economy on the global stage. His decision to choose Mumbai as the host city for WAVE SUMMIT 2025 is not just an honour for Maharashtra, it’s a mark of deep trust in the State’s cultural strength and future potential. Special thanks to Hon Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji, whose constant support and belief helped transform this vision into a powerful reality. WAVES is no longer just a summit, it’s a movement. A national mission to build and elevate India’s creator economy by uniting talent, industry, tradition, and technology. With XX companies participating and the WAVES Index crossing ₹1 lakh crore in market value, the creative economy is proving its strength and scale to the world. The newly launched IICT Campus is more than just an educational institution, it’s a launchpad for creators, storytellers, and innovators. In just two years, a world-class permanent campus will rise in Film City, becoming a vibrant centre for imagination, excellence, and next-generation creative learning. India’s timeless storytelling tradition came alive during WAVES at the India Pavilion. As envisioned by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, this Pavilion now has a permanent home at NFDC’s Gulshan Building, added to Mumbai’s cultural and tourism circuit, a living tribute to India’s creative legacy. To take this journey forward, Maharashtra is committing ₹150 crores to scale and strengthen WAVES in the years ahead. Mumbai will now be its permanent home, and the summit will only grow, evolving into a global celebration. This is more than a project. It’s a promise to nurture creative minds, fuel innovation, and make India a global leader in the media and entertainment space.
