I know that you all are aware that @EspressoSys does sequencing and also finality 

But that's not actually all. There's more

Espresso also helps with data availability. 

So, this means that instead of posting every bit of raw transaction data directly to Ethereum (which can get really expensive) 

rollups have the option to use Espresso’s DA (Data Availability) layer.

This is not mandatory at all, but if a project is serious about scaling and saving cost, then, this is a great option.
