Uzbekistan’s Ecoparty opposes Murod Nazarov’s call to end tree-cutting moratorium, citing risk of ecological harm 

Uzbekistan’s Ecological Party has strongly rejected a proposal by developer Murod Nazarov to lift the tree-cutting moratorium in Tashkent, warning it could undermine vital environmental protections and threaten ecological stability; in the first half of 2025 alone, over XXXXXXX trees — including XXXXXX valuable species — were saved due to the moratorium, which has prevented the removal of more than XX% of targeted trees since 2021.
